St Philips Marsh shed in Bristol had an allocation of around 140 engines
and provided motive power for freight workings in the Bristol area.
These reminiscences cover the final years.

VG. The stiff card covers have been neatly protected with a clear adhesive covering. The book has a complex provenance having been in the Stockport Public Library reference section, and also in the NRM reference library. As a result there are both Stockport and NRM library bookplates inside the front covers along with two withdrawn stamps from the NRM. There is also a Stockport library stamp on the title page, and a library number on the front cover at the base of the spine. I can find no library marking in the text itself, which is in excellent condition throughout.
