Cooper, Bill and Laurel  Watersteps through France: To the Camargue by Canal, Methuen, 1991, pp238.  VG+/VG.  Large inscription.  A delightful and witty account of a gentle journey from England to the South of France in the Dutch barge Hosanna.  £8.50

Doughty H M  Our Wherry in Wendish Lands: From Friesland through the Mecklenburg Lakes to Bohemia, Ashford Press Publishing, 1985, pp406 with many line illustrations.  First published in 1891.  Fine with an attractively decorated blue cloth cover, protected by clear covering dw. (As published).  A classic account of cruises of the Norfolk wherry Gipsy in 1890 and 1891 in northern Europe, reaching Aussig now in the Czech Republic.  Gipsy was the first wherry to cross the North Sea, but the next attempt by Elsie resulted in total loss.  In contrast, Gipsy returned safely in 1902 and survived until the 1950s.  £16.50
