British Customers
A payment basket is now attached to all books as they are added to the site. As a result customers in the UK can order books directly on-line using all the major credit cards.
Alternatively, books can be reserved using either email ( GBSteven@aol.com ), or the telephone (01904 792 125). I will then reserve your books for 10 days pending receipt of your cheque made payable to Batterdale Books. The full postal address is Batterdale Books, 24 Acomb Road, Holgate, York YO24 4EW, United Kingdom.
The following charges are made to cover postage and packing:
Orders up to £10: £2.50
Orders over £10 up to £20: £4.00
Orders over £20 up to £30: £5.00
Orders over £30 up to £75: £6.00
Over £75: Post Free
Overseas Customers
On overseas orders I charge postage at cost. It is therefore not possible to use the payment baskets. Instead please e-mail me at GBSteven@aol.com, listing the books that you wish to purchase. If possible also let me know whether you wish to use airmail or surface mail. I will then e-mail you a Paypal invoice which will allow you to pay on-line by credit card.
Alternatively, I can reserve your books pending receipt of a
sterling cheque or a bank draft payable to Batterdale
Books and drawn on a UK bank.
Finally, I also accept payment in sterling notes or euros - but only on the
understanding that these are sent entirely at the customer's own risk.
Our Guarantee
If you believe the condition of any book that you have received was not described accurately on this site, we will refund your money in full providing that the book is returned to us securely packed within 10 days.
