Nock O S  Scottish Railways, Nelson, 1st edition 1950, pp214 & 14 colour plates.  Hb. VG/Good+.  Dw internally re-enforced at the head & base of the spine.  A comprehensive general account of the railways of Scotland.  £6.95

Nock O S and Eric Treacy  Main Lines across the Border, Nelson, 1st edition 1960, pp155 plus 62 plates.  Hb.  VG/Poor.  Some loss to the dw.  In this first edition all the photographs are by Eric Treacy, whereas in the later Ian Allan edition new photographs by Derek Cross were substituted.  As well as the East Coast and West Coast main lines, the authors also consider the Settle and Carlisle line and its Scottish connections, the Waverley route and the Glasgow and South Western line through Dumfries.  £4.95
